Pages 25 and 28 call for 1 celery. Is this one stalk or one cup or the entire head ? Units of measure need to be clearly specified. Also on page 106 for Deviled Eggs the instructions call for a 13 minute cooking time. The booklet that came with the cooker specifies a 7 minute cooking time. Using that cooking time results in perfect hard boiled eggs. If the eggs are cooked 13 minutes ( nearly twice as long) a more appropriate term would be petrified eggs.Other than these items this appears to be a pretty decent cookbook.

Weren't very many pictures and not very many recipes for the price. Wish cosori had something more like the instant pot bible cookbook.

This is a very good cookbook to use with the Cosori Electric Pressure Cooker. My favorite so far is Classic Chicken Mushrooms and Red Wine. Can't wait to try more recipes. The Cosori Pressure Cooker is a recent purchase.

Love my Cosori, it works great and it is so convenient.

We were looking for some simple recipes for the pressure cooker. "Quick and Easy" was not exactly the best description. A lot of these recipes contain many ingredients that most people wouldn't normally have around. I would say out of the 100 recipes, we may try a few.

Made some old recipes that normally take 3 hours - 25 min in this cosori and it wa delicious

It's a pleasure to find a recipe book that offers easy recipes that are family friendly as well as great for get togethers.The ingredients are easy to find.Recipes are well presented.A couple of tweaks would be great ie Coq au Vin can also be made with regular mushrooms.Taco seasoning is salty so a substitute such as;Chili powder.Cumin.Paprika.This is a personal choice as I always keep these spices on hand.I don't have a Cosori but these recipes will work with other Pressure Cooker multi- pots on the market.All in All I lovecokking and this is definitely a cookbook I will use.I received an advanced readers copy for an honest reviewof this book.It was a pleasure to review.I love cookbooks.I do recommend this arc or not.

We are a homeschool family using the Classical method (lots of learning is done "by heart" in the Grammar phase) and this book fits in perfectly with our style of teaching and learning. We are accustomed to learning many subjects with a "prompt" question (i.e. Tell me about the Renaissance.) which this has - its the perfect format to add to our weekly memory work!For now, we'll be using the highlighted portions of the response answers. They are a bit shorter, but still packed with truth! In case you are wondering if you can still use this book if you are not part of a reformed tradition/church, yes you can. We are not part of a reformed tradition (we atttend an interdenominational Christian church) and the only answer I am changing slightly is to question #27 dealing with election - "Are all people, just as they were lost through Adam, saved through Christ?" Simple enough!You can also download an app that has the same info for use in quizzing/memorizing, and you can set it to "child mode" which has the shorter answers if desired.I really love this book and would highly recommend it to anyone!

We are doing the adult version with our 3 and 5 year old and we're loving it!! We read the question, answer, and verse at breakfast and bedtime, and by the end of the week they usually have it all memorized. Kids are sponges! The only critique I have is question 4, and only because I like the Westminister Shorter Catechism better. To compare:New City Catechism: How and why did God create us? God created us male and female in his own image to know him, love him, live with him, and glorify him. And it is right that we who were created by God should live to his glory.Westminister Shorter Catechism: What is the chief end of man? Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.Actually, quite a few of the New City Catecism answers are very wordy like this, which annoys me because I like simplicity, but it doesn't bother my kids. So I figure, if they're learning it, why not have them learn more? Overall I would buy it again and recommend it to others. (Great when paired with the Getty Kids Hymnal for family worship time before bedtime).

I purchased this catechism largely because of it’s newness. Having read many other historical catechisms myself (Baptist, Westminster and Heidelberg) I enjoy the modern feel of this little work over the archaic language of the historical catechisms. It covers all the important points with one little drawback; the lack of scripture references. This is not to say that they don’t have any but you get about one maybe two per Q&A. What makes the historic catechisms so great is that they provide a tone of scripture backing up the point. One can almost learn all of systematic theology from catechism alone, but with this catechism, you only get a taste of how scripture would answer life’s biggest and most important questions.

I think it's hard sometimes as a Christian parent to know what to teach your kids about God. Where do you start? What topics do you cover? I'm the Children's Director at our church and have found this book enormously helpful in giving direction to parents on where to start. We also use it in our family at dinner time each night as we learn a new catechism each week. Our 4 kids are 5 and under and our older 2 are picking them up quickly. Even our 2 year old will chime in with "God" or "Jesus" every now and then :) I'm glad we found this and have something that gives us a guide on teaching our kids the foundational truths about God.

Just get the devotional. There's much further explanation. This is nice for daily reminders but not in-depth.

Love everything by Redeemer! I got this just because I saw it on the Gospel Coalition, but after reading through it, I realize what a valuable resource this will be for my family in years to come. I never remember learning about these foundational truths growing up in Church. I am delighted to finally be learning concise answers (plus scripture references!) and have a tool to train my children when they get a little older.

Love this for the kids. Well laid out, it's easy and simple to use. My seven and ten and twelve year olds are using this for school this year. Every Monday through Friday they write out the question, the highlighted answer portion, and the Bible verse in their notebooks. Just once a day. By Friday, just doing that alone, they have virtually memorized the whole thing. An excellent resource, wish I would have had something this straightforward to use with my older kids.

Easy to use with the whole family. Our young children (ages 5 and up) caught on quickly and learned the questions and answers with no difficulty. An excellent tool for structuring Christian thinking for people of all ages.

Who wants an imaginary friend that smells like rotten eggs now and then, but he is always by Timmy's side. Authors Sam Lawrence and Ben Jackson are very imaginative and have created imaginary dragons and bloodthirsty pirates. Timmy had to explain what soccer is to his imaginary friend. Timmy is capable of keeping Little Fart, his imaginary friend, concealed, but occasionally, he lets out a chuckle because of Little Fart's antics.The images by illustrator Danko Herrera are realistic, but imaginative. Timmy's big eyes are warm, adorable, and friendly. The Day My Fart Followed Me to Soccer is a funny, imaginative tale that will catch the attention of young boys who are attracted to outrageous titles. Others will read it because they wonder what it's about. Authors Sam Lawrence and Ben Johnson cleverly teach the fundamentals of soccer hidden in the form of a humorous storybook. But, the story is also a lesson in sharing and teamwork because Timmy could have scored a goal, but he passed to the newest player, Stella, so she could experience her first goal. Soccer is a game about teamwork and passing. Timmy has an imaginary friend called Little Fart. Little Fart follows him everywhere and they have a lot of fun together. Timmy informs his buddy that he'll be taking soccer and then patiently explains the game. At the game he meets Sophie who is insecure about playing. Timmy sets up a playdate and teaches her not only some great moves but gives her confidence as well. When the day of the big game arrives, they play and Timmy is able to send a pass to Sophie that wins the game. Even Timmy's imaginary friend is able to stand on the sidelines and cheer for Timmy. The books has several things going on- from teaching the game of soccer to helping a friend. Cute book about teamwork that shows how we can be supportive of each other with the added bonus of "farting" humor.

This is the third book that I have reviewed about Timmy and his little friend Fart. At the moment there are six books in the series, and a colouring book too.In this book, summer has arrived and Timmy’s mum has signed him up for soccer school. His little friend doesn’t know what soccer is, but Timmy shows him how to play.On the first day at school, there is a new girl called Sophie. She doesn’t know anyone and feels like she is no good and wants to quit. Timmy being the nice lad that he is, offers to help Sophie with her soccer skills, of course little Fart helps out too.Each of the books in ‘The Day my Fart Followed Me…’ series are highly amusing and will have kids laughing-out-loud. They are all filled with bright coloured full page illustrations that give them an inviting feel.This book’s message is about being kind and helpful, as Timmy goes out of his way to help Sophie – he may just have a little crush too. I like how the authors subtly show children about important issues in a fun manner. I am a third of the way through J.D. Robb’s newest book and am disappointed. I have read the entire series more than once and this one doesn’t feel as if it was written by Robb. Very stilted and way too much narrative. I will make myself finish and may have a better opinion once done. If so, I will update my review.

I am starting to wonder if these books are actually being written by Nora Roberts or if only some of them are. This is another so-so book. It seems like the character development is not really there. This is disappointing has her last book was excellent and I thought she was coming back. I have all the books for the "In Death" series and have read several of them over multiple times and you can see the decline in character development. I think I will go back to getting them from my local library before making purchase for my collection.

This is not a book. If the reader is feeling generous it's a short story and not a very good one. The reader is actually purchasing the outline for what might have been a decent book. However, what got downloaded was a high school English lit paper that when graded would probably gotten a "D" at best. Did someone miss the Avengers Civil War? "Language". Really? Can't come up with anything original. Pathetic! Congratulations to Agent Teasdale on changing agencies. Homeland to FBI but don't dwell on it I'm sure in the next installment she will be with the NSA and old Robb couldn't actually be bothered to flesh out the character anyway. Like the author Teasdale wasn't really there.

I have to go with most reviews. Did JD Robb aka Nora Roberts really write this? It is as if her attention or mine just isn't into it anymore. I have loved JD Robb from beginning but I do feel as if her mind is more on her newest Nora Roberts novels than Eve Dallas. This last was so bland and just not interesting.

This book is boring. I'm tempted to skip to the last two chapters to find out whodunit. Since publishing her first book in 1981 Nora Roberts has written at least 225 novels. That's an average of about five books per year. Makes me wonder if she actually wrote all of them. Some are very good. "Northern Lights", "Tribute", "High Noon", "The Liar", and "The Search" are among my favorites.

I have been a fan of JD Robb/Nora Roberts since the very beginning with her Naked in Death book. And honestly, I wonder how another book in the series (48 and counting now), can still be fun and interesting to read. But here I am, just finished reading Connections In Death and I am a happy camper.It's a joy to see how these characters, whom I have come to love and respect, continue to grow and develop. I have always been a fan of Eve and Roarke and the love, respect and dynamic between them. You would think it can get old or corny, but it simply doesn't...in fact it keeps getting better. Their relationship, with each other and with their circle, deepens and matures with every telling. It is such a treat to read and be witness of it in some way.With Connections, I really liked just how the story unfolded. It was not so much the mystery but the process of solving it - the teamwork involved, and the grit that comes from doing the job. A bonus is in reading about how the family (which is how I see Eve, Roarke and their friends) pulls for one another; how characters from different books make a significant appearance and the way they all work together to help bring justice. It makes me wish that cops here and everywhere have that same dedication and love of service.All in all, I'm thrilled to still be feeling so engaged and riveted with this series. It is a testament to Ms. Roberts' (all hail the undisputed queen!) talent, dedication, creativity, commitment and hard work. She is an inspiration. What an amazing and great series...and this booking particular? It's definitely a wonderful addition. Bravo and cheers to many more!

I'm not quite sure how to rate this book. The story was great. But there wasn't any heat. No fire inside Eve,no urgency about finding killers. And with Eve being emotionally absent, there was nothing there for the others to play off of. Bring the real Eve back.
