This book outlines one of the greatest miracles in Quran. I have confirmed almost all the claims in the book and have witnessed the mathematical pattern based on divisibility by 19. The book illustrates the physical evidences of this mathematical pattern and shows that Quran can not be a man-fabricated book. I recommend the readers to witness this 19-based code themselves by patiently checking the claims. The book is also full of very useful and illustrative tables and counting results with reference to the verse and chapter numbers, which can be controlled easily.

This book is a companion to his Reformist Translation of the Quran. It is heavy, it is bold, but not hard to take in for the objective mind. It is not only an explanation of the mathematical beauty of the Recitation, but a reminder to introspect and question what we once considered as truth and to transcend obsolete beliefs, to convert these into conscious acknowledgment as our freewill existence naturally meant. Reality is multidimensional, basically geometrical but in beauty infinitly complex. So is the Quran, an analogical "stereogram", as Mr. Yuksel put it.Edip Yuksel continues, expands and complements the work of Rashad Khalifa. This book is so charged with insight, truely challenging, integrating world events, religious blindness and fanaticism, science, historical passages and personal history. He redefines basic conceptualizations and word meanings which have been distorted by ignorance, time and those who claim themselves intermediaries and representants of God on Earth. The author does not give you guidelines to follow, but rather invites you to think, explore, question and acknowledge for yourself the meaning of being muslim, Islam and the Last Testament.

This book changed how I look the Islam and world also!!!! As a Engineer and scientist I couldn't believe my eyes!!! Hope writer abstract all information. As a scientist I had no problem understanding the book. But it will be little challenge who not into math. My advice to Writer; Abstract!!

In fact, I've already read this book before buying this hard copy, as Edip Yuksel is my friend. It's unlike Bible Code, as Yuksel considered opponents and used the scientific method. Very worth reading

i bought this book after doing extensive research on 19 in the quran i watched edip's videos on youtube and read rashad khalifa's book quran hadith and islam so i decided to check this book out to further support 19 in the quran i finished this book in 2 days through 4 settings and yet i was very dissappointed because it felt like edip was talking to himself rather than the reader the book should have been called edip vs the world instead of nineteen because most of the time edip is just talking about his opponents instead of 19 an example of this is the alifs in the quranic initials edip beats around the bush and almost completly skips this and says that this subject is ambigious and is not proven without further defending the original claim by rashad another example is how the christian guy who mocks 19 edip does not reply to his claim AT ALL wich pissed me off because the christian guy presented a good argument another example is when edip makes fun of other peoples findings of 19 in the quran just because they don't fit with his ideology like the argument of how many times we should pray 3 or 5 and many more while supporting all of his 19 discoveries just because he likes them. and i don't get why edip would joke and sarcastically "prove" that masjid tucson is the qibla by using 19 to say that you can find 19 in anything?? that does not make your discovery look good at all. again about the alifs i felt that this book should have been the perfect chance to talk about this extensively but edip barely goes through this problem wich i don't care if it took a 100 pages to go through i would read it all if it covered the whole subject and not beat around the bush like edip did in many examples.

I love this book. what an Eye opener.

Waste of time and money!

Advocates against Hadith. But is a Hadith itself. Claims to be a messenger, talks poorly about Rashad khalifa stealing his miracle.

A gardening classic, We Made a Garden details the creation of a cottage garden in the UK by Margery and her husband Walter. She recounts everything from creating walls to trying to create a water garden. She refers to plants by both their common and Latin names. Some of the names have changed over time and there is a large list in the back giving both old and new names for reference. I am a gardening novice, but have found that I really enjoy it. However, I think this book would be more readily enjoyed by someone with quite a bit of gardening experience. Not knowing many of the plants she lists made for some dull reading. An edition with pictures would have kept my attention better. Still, some of her advice is helpful, especially when she talks about deadheading and cutting plants back. I am always afraid that I will kill my poor plants if I am too ruthless with my cutting. I’m glad I read it, but I probably won’t read it again.

Aside from being the history of the development of a wonderful garden I found this book to be a disturbing memoir of a controlling husband and an unquestioned emotionally abusive marriage in a sexist era where the woman gained power by subterfuge.Walter deadheads roses, carelessly ignoring the trail of fallen blooms leaving Margery to pick them up like a servant. Walter cuts down her long awaited budding new flowers with a scythe without consulting her and she thinks he is teaching her a important lesson about not experimenting with new plants. In spring Walter plants high growing pole climbing roses in a garden bed that Margery spent a cold, wet winter preparing alone for her favorite low growing plants. Walter "allows" her one clematis of her choosing and buys five of the color he wants to decorate the famous front door with their blue blooms. He likes neat walk ways and she likes plants trailing over the edges which she plants after his death. In one scene they are putting in a paved walkway and she asks the workman for holes to be left for the small sprawling plants she loves. Water becomes furious and deems her greedy when she asks for "too many" and her holes are filled in with concrete. The sad thing is that she believes that she is greedy and that Walter is right.I know this book is from another time, but reading it gave me a stomach ache at Margery's acceptance of her domination. She is a horticulturist of high intellect and personal opinions living in a sexist world who found insidious ways to get her way. She constantly defers to Walter, rationalizing that since he is the more experienced gardener, he must be right, but she orders new plants in secret and fears his noticing their arrival at the door. Walter purchases gaudy dinner plate dahlias that she hates, leaving her the work of meticulously planting, watering, digging up, cleaning and storing them. Margery takes her revenge, eventually letting all but a few die during their over wintering rest in the guest room.My husband thought the book was hysterical. I first read it aloud to him as a joke but the more I read the more I got upset. Margery and Walter disagree on hydrangea colors, she like pinks, he likes blues, so they buy all blues until he dies when she replaces them all with pink. I guess she did finally get her way.

The gardening part was interesting and her family maintained this historic home, later sold. I got the feeling her marriage was not easy.

Lovely tale of a garden. I bet she was liberated by the death of her husband--what a tyrant.

Quite good, though I did not get as much gardening advice as amusement on her relationship with her late husband. A classic that I am late coming to, as a result of a recommendation on Slate.

There are not picture at all,so when she talk about a plant, there is no way what the plant look like.

an interesting story about the making of a garden by a pretty famous lady. I am enjoying reading this book.

Wonderful book! Thank you so much, Amazon!

I cannot think of one book that has more influence on me than Thus Spoke Zarathustra. It is a book that I once read at least once a year and it never failed to fill my mind with hope and ideas. I totally disagree with those who consider Nietzsche to be hard, stern, and without hope. I find nothing but hope in the works of Nietzsche. He deepest desire was to see humans remove the yoke of any oppressive ideologies which hindered thoughts and imagination. My initial reading of Zarathustra was very disappointing. I was not ready for the very stylized language he used but subsequent reading made me look beyond the style and see the thoughts behind them and then yielded the wisdom beneath. I make no claims to entirely understand Nietzsche but someone who dropped out before reaching high school I believe I have a fairly good grasp of his overall principles. His ideas are not so abstract that only scholars can understand them. I have now read most of his major works and consider him the single greatest influence on my own life and the perceptions of various institutions. As an atheist I was naturally drawn to his hostility towards most forms of organized religions---the exception for Nietzsche being Buddhism--but he was not grim or dour about this and always championed the "yay-saying" and discouraged the "nay-saing". His words can come across as a bit hard and cold but he felt he was in a desperate battle with a force that was robbing humanity of it's humanity and there was no sense mincing words about the consequences. He would have hated the Nazis. They were everything he despised about the regressive nature of humanity. The were devoid of all hope and their perverse use of the philosophy would have sickened him. This is a book that is still very valid and vital to the health of humanity. It should be read and reread.

A very good and dense book. I don't know if it was the prose, the translation, or the age of language in the text, but I found myself reading a few passages multiple times to really understand it. But all-and-all, a great read.People have spent decades writing long explanations and commentary on the book, so I'll simply say that much of it I could relate to my own challenges and experiences in life and that its message resonated with me.

This is a good, straightforward and fairly literal translation, with helpful notes -- not too many, but useful. I much prefer it to the work of Walter Kaufmann which has for a long time been standard fare for university reading. Walter was better than the Nazified edition with the author's sister to speak for him. But there is a great deal of self-important nonsense by Mr. Kaufmann in his edition. Here we have a fine translation that may well become the new university standard, at least it is for me.

I believe Nietzsche saw his "Zarathurstra" as his magnum opus, the artistic-expressive summary of his beliefs. It is a wonderful book, and anyone who has read his other works will find that "Zarathustra" really does synthesize and summarize those other works. The challenge with "Zarathustra" and Nietzsche's other works, is the depth and breadth of his experience and scholarship. The more I read his works, the more I realize I miss...and to some degree must miss! I have a limited background in Classical studies, but not to the extent Nietzsche did. As another for-instance - I do not speak or read French or Italian, and so I can only analytically understand Nietzsche's statements about the cadences of those languages, and their connection to their local habitats, and the way they both reflect and influence their speakers' demeanors. Oh well! Something to shoot for, for me, I guess, to learn Spanish and French....and, German?!This is a very good translation with good end-notes. There are some references I think the translator missed, but that's ok.

Nietzche dances along the edge of schizophrenia, which a Horrobin has noted is HUMAN WRIT LARGE.There is nothing exceptional in normalcy, by definition, therefore only madmen can be geniuses.I Am well acquainted with schizophrenia, and Nietzche's work offers an insight into their intense inner world. He was spurned by the sane, not for loving too little, but for loving too intensely. You will wait in vain for the promised superman to emerge, for this is a story of his gestation, not his birth. We await his birth wondering who he is; and what his nature.Perhaps this is an overhang from Nietzche's monotheists past, with all their talk of "The Return of the Messiah"Us Vanatru, one the other hand, have our Sacred and eternal Wheel of Life.

I have many very good books on Landscape techniques, this is one of the very best. For both beginners and more advanced. So often the books do not get down to the fundamentals with brush or actual applications, this one does. Plus, I love her work. Highly recommend. I have been painting for two years.

There are so many art books it's hard to decide which to buy, especially if you can't see the contents, and most of them generally cover the same topics. But I took a chance on this one and really like the way the author presents art concepts: materials, composition and design, tonal value, color and light, techniques, and demonstrations. I think painting is mostly about doing, and I didn't really want a lot of theory, but l learned a lot and it gave me useful ideas and techniques I could really use. She also has lots of step-by-step demonstrations, AND I actually like the style of the painting examples. It's a smaller, high-quality book. I found it surprisingly useful (and not too much text).

This book was recommended by one of my art instructors. So much good information on products and painting techniques. I have many notes and tabs in this book and refer to it frequently. Lots of full color painting to demonstrate the author's suggestions for composition, tonal value, color and light and various techniques. I highly recommend this book for any beginning or intermediate painter.

Of the 63 art books in my library, this is the best I've run into. It's to the point with skilled illustrations. By isolating one principle at a time and giving examples, it makes it easy for the reader to grasp the issue. It also isn't full of self-serving comments. Too many art books go into the soul searching and emotional aspect of painting. But not all people the same feelings, and this makes the verbiage unnecessary.Another plus is the binding. The ring binding means you don't have to crack the book spine to keep it open. This book is perfect for the artist who wants to-the-point instruction that includes problem solving. I'm recommending it to the students in my classes. Frankly, it's the best I've seen.

After reading very involved, detailed books like Albala and Schmid and McPhearson, it is a nice change to have a book that is easyto read, reference and I love love love the spiral - You can open it and use it as you paint - I do believe the other books I mentioned should be read for the depth of information but after you do that this book gives you an easy reference to review the informationAdd it to any oil painters library for sure!

My book arrived timely!!! Excellent condition!!!! I'm very happy with this book! Thank you!!

My friend had this book and I decided I needed this book to help me with my oil painting lessions. It is most helpful in all aspects of teaching how to accomplish the finished product of what I am striving to produce. I will use this book as a reference to learn techniques that will give my work more depth and detail. It is very comprehensive and useful for a beginner just learning to a professional artist.

The artist wrote a very basic book about painting. It is informative and very well written.I will be keeping this one in my library
