This was not what I expected. It’s small and not the style I was looking for. It reminds me of a children’s book. There’s not much there to the pages. Just lines for you to write on, so it’s not very interactive. Maybe better for a younger crowd. Also when I received the item it was sticky and dirty. I ended up throwing it away but amazon was awesome and gave me a refund. I ended up getting her a more formal looking journal instead.

Fun journal to have. Cheerful and bright.

My eight year old read this book while we were doing early American history. It became his favorite book. He raved about it so much, he convinced my ten year old to read it. My ten year old liked it, but it wasn’t his favorite ever. It is a pretty easy read. I’d say second or third grade could easily handle it. The type is rather large and the chapters aren’t very long.

I am a teacher. I needed a couple of extra copies so my students could take the book home and read it a few nights a week. The students enjoyed the book so much that they read ahead of the assigned chapter and the book discussion began before they entered the room! They couldn’t wait to finish it but when we got to the last page they closed the book and said,”Noooo-it can’t end if there is no sequel!” (Keep in mind that I work with students that are below grade level.)

What a sweet, engaging, and simple yet well written tale! My ten year olds absolutely loved it, and were sad we finished it. Good thing we can reread!

Great story but definitely not for advanced readers. My 9 year old finished it within an hour. I probably should have looked at the page numbers! Regardless, she enjoyed the storyline.

Excellently written, lovely story. When I first read the synopsis of the story, I was concerned that it would be scary or oddly dated (regarding the father leaving his young daughter to live with an Indian family), but it was written so gently and so well that it never became uncomfortable. Just an interesting snippet of history, winsomely presented. A quick read, 8 chapters I think, but I read it aloud in one sitting.

I bought this book as a read aloud for my kids. (6, 4, and 2) They loved it! Even my 2 year old was talking about parts of the book. Great story to help introduce history to young minds.

We didn't like this book at first, but after 3 chapters, we were hooked! Both my 7 year old daughter and 4 year old son were begging me to keep reading at night!

It was perfect for my second grade grandchild. She enjoyed the book and it was at her reading level. She met the requirement her teacher requested.

Calendar and pictures are great BUT when you write on it, it goes through into the next month. Paper is very thin and its annoying seeing January's info on February's month. Would return if I hadn't written on it already. Would not purchase or buy again.

The calendar itself is pretty, but the quality of the pages is poor. I use this as our family calendar to write our events on it. After writing in our Jan events, and Feb came around, I noticed that everything from the Jan pages were very prominent on the Feb calendar. That just ruined it. They need to use a better quality of paper so the previous months info doesn't bleed into the next month. As a result, I won't be ordering these again.

I gave this as a gift - beautiful photos of nature, with plenty of room to write daily appointments, etc.

The calendar is everything I hoped it would be. The photographs are beautiful and the paper is sturdy enough to hang without worrying that the edges might curl in summer's humidity.

I was very impressed with the pictures of the nature scenes I am a nature fanatic and that works very well with what I want to look on a daily basis. I will be buying from this seller again in the future.
