 The Art of Kiki's Delivery Service is a charming art book companion for the movie.Even though Miyazaki's the director, screenwriter and producer for this film, his art is surprisingly missing in this book. This time round, the main contributing artists are Shinji Otsuka, Yoshifumi Kondo and Katsuya Kondo.The art is still created using watercolours and they are very beautiful. The character designs by Katsuya Kondo are really cool. You can see the different variations of Kiki, her hairstyle, flying poses, expressions and the little mannerisms all captured. His lines and colours are very simple be he can create a really appealing cast of characters. Together with the two other artists Shinji Otsuka and Yoshifumi Kondo, they contribute the majority of the concept art in this book. And they all seem to draw in similar style for the storyboards.The background paintings for Corico are also marvelous. I love the idyllic setting. Much of the designs are actually inspired from Visby, a city on the Swedish island of Gotland. Looking at the paintings instantly triggers holiday mood. Unfortunately, these unsung heroes of background art aren't credited directly to their work, although a list of names are included at the back of the book.Most of the art have interesting comments by Miyazaki and the other artists. At the back, there's a section on basic camera techniques and how they are used in the film. And finally, there's the complete screenplay.Highly recommended for all fans of the film and Studio Ghibli.(There are more pictures of the book on my blog. Kiki's Delivery Service is my favorite Ghibli film, and l've been eyeing to get this for a really long time now. lt's full of amazing art and takes you through their character design process (you get to see many versions of Kiki and her hairstyles). lt also provides you lots of insight on their work process through the entire film; which includes all kinds of fantastic work. Each page is just awesome to look at and take in, especially if you're an artist too. Highly recommended for artists and Studio Ghibli fans; and a must have for both!

I am highly disappointed about the appearance of the book. All the corners are dented, plus the front and back covers have scratches. I was extremely excited about receiving this book but became really disappointed and upset when I saw how damaged the book was. I am not sure if Amazon had something to do with this or it was the manufacturer. Whatever the case, it needs to be fixed. Even though the content was beautiful, the damaged cover takes away from the beauty.

There's no way this won't please you or any other miyazaki fan. Great, big pictures and artwork, and a good bit of information too. Some of the most incredible coffee table books to ever have. Every now and then I'll crack one open and spend hours going through them!

Beautiful pictures, and lots of behind the scenes goodies. Lots and lots of prototype artwork, sketches, models, as well as some stories behind how the characters became what they are. Definitely worth it for those that love the artwork of Hayao Myazaki and company.

This book is simply marvellous! "Kiki" is my favourite Miyazaki/Ghibli film, and this artbook is a treasure to me and my family. Beautifully written and illustrated, made with love. Will definitely collect all the Ghibli artbooks in future.

"Kiki's Delivery Service" is honestly one of mine (if not my absolute favorite) of the Studio Ghibli films. I'm very glad that I own a copy of this "Art of" book. I love being able to see the many great early sketches of Hayao Miyazaki and his team, which are masterpieces in and of themselves.

Laughably bad. The graphics are black and white with very poor resolution. Yeah, I know, it's Minecraft. It's supposed to be low res blocky. But these graphics are fuzzy. On at least one page the text runs into the picture. I bought this for my 1st grader thinking the graphics would hook him and he would want to read the text to learn more. Nope. He was immediately turned off by the pictures. It may be a 1-star product but so far it has not actively harmed my son so only worthy of a 2-star review.

We ordered the paperback version for our 6 year old son. The only pictures that were available for preview online were the pictures associated with the electronic version of the book and were shown to be in color. The paperback version of the book only has black and white pictures that are not very good quality. We were very disappointed by this.

This books quality was lacking. The font sizes are different from page to page and on most of the pages the words are so close to the binding of the book you can't even read the first word of the line. I bought this a Christmas gift and was embarrassed when the child opened the book. I guess I should have looked at it closer before I wrapped it. Disappointed.

You know, I expected this to have colors and vivid pictures and not as much text, and I wish they'd provided snapshots of the pages inside....I got a small NOVEL full of bland black and white photos with oddly long run-on sentences about Minecraft with absolutely atrocious grammar. it would be great for a 9 or 10 year old who REALLY likes Minecraft and LOVES to read but I was disappointed with what I received. I blame the seller for not providing accurate representation of the product. sigh. it's too late to return it but it wasn't all that expensive anyway so I'll save it in case I ever need it.

To those with poor reviews... Did you read the product description? Once? Yikes. This book is written by famous children... minecrafting children. These are real, creative stories from children who have played and loved this game. -Typos and fragments included- It's adorable, exciting and fun for young kiddos. When at first you don't succeed; read, read again.

These stories are riddled with grammatcial errors to the point where some sentences don't make any sense at all. He and She is swapped around freely to talk about the same character. It seems like someone with a poor grasp of english tried to convert these stories as they were originally written in a different language. My kids love the stories because they have to do with Minecraft so that is good. The poor rating is mainly because the writing itself is horrifyingly juvenile.

My son enjoys the stories but the book should have been grammar checked before being published. It's difficult to read at times with the errors that it contains.

The examples in this book are great for someone who has been around the SQL block once or twice in a tricycle. If you understand basic SQL this text could teach you PL/SQL basics easily.. if you can afford it. Luckily for Cengauge I was in a class, so I didn't have a choice.

eBook is a little restrictive and appends to copy/paste.EBook is also not available through cloud reader.Otherwise works well.

Easy to read, good examples

I chose 5 star rating because this book provides a good idea about PL/SQL programming topics. I like the way this book was written, exercises provided. I recommend this book to PL/SQL programming beginners.

Its in decent shape. Good for the price.
