Laughably bad. The graphics are black and white with very poor resolution. Yeah, I know, it's Minecraft. It's supposed to be low res blocky. But these graphics are fuzzy. On at least one page the text runs into the picture. I bought this for my 1st grader thinking the graphics would hook him and he would want to read the text to learn more. Nope. He was immediately turned off by the pictures. It may be a 1-star product but so far it has not actively harmed my son so only worthy of a 2-star review.
We ordered the paperback version for our 6 year old son. The only pictures that were available for preview online were the pictures associated with the electronic version of the book and were shown to be in color. The paperback version of the book only has black and white pictures that are not very good quality. We were very disappointed by this.
This books quality was lacking. The font sizes are different from page to page and on most of the pages the words are so close to the binding of the book you can't even read the first word of the line. I bought this a Christmas gift and was embarrassed when the child opened the book. I guess I should have looked at it closer before I wrapped it. Disappointed.
You know, I expected this to have colors and vivid pictures and not as much text, and I wish they'd provided snapshots of the pages inside....I got a small NOVEL full of bland black and white photos with oddly long run-on sentences about Minecraft with absolutely atrocious grammar. it would be great for a 9 or 10 year old who REALLY likes Minecraft and LOVES to read but I was disappointed with what I received. I blame the seller for not providing accurate representation of the product. sigh. it's too late to return it but it wasn't all that expensive anyway so I'll save it in case I ever need it.
To those with poor reviews... Did you read the product description? Once? Yikes. This book is written by famous children... minecrafting children. These are real, creative stories from children who have played and loved this game. -Typos and fragments included- It's adorable, exciting and fun for young kiddos. When at first you don't succeed; read, read again.
These stories are riddled with grammatcial errors to the point where some sentences don't make any sense at all. He and She is swapped around freely to talk about the same character. It seems like someone with a poor grasp of english tried to convert these stories as they were originally written in a different language. My kids love the stories because they have to do with Minecraft so that is good. The poor rating is mainly because the writing itself is horrifyingly juvenile.
My son enjoys the stories but the book should have been grammar checked before being published. It's difficult to read at times with the errors that it contains.
