I saw this book right after reading Profit First by Mike Machalowicz and being that I have an eCommerce business, I thought I should buy it to help me apply the Profit First system. The reason I was disappointed is:1. The majority of the book is "copy and paste" from Profit First. I don't mean that in an underhanded way. I know she wrote the book in collaboration with Mike but it felt like I was just reading the same book over again.2. 95% of the book is for someone who sells hard products on Amazon. There are more forms of eCommerce than this! I know she knows this because she mentions at the back of the book that half her clients are Shopify users, but she barely mentions them. I have a Shopify store and use the drop-ship fulfillment method, so I don't sell on Amazon, nor do I carry inventory.3. Most digital nomads have eCommerce businesses. She even profiles one. She address the problem that being located outside the USA makes it difficult to open the bank accounts necessary for the Profit First system, but then gives no solution to it.4. Many of the Illustrations in the book are too small to read, even on a Kindle App for Mac. She says larger versions are available on her website but you have to give an email address to access them. I understand the marketing technique but since I already paid for the contents of the book ( a rather high price for a Kindle book I might add ), having to give my email address to see a readable version of it seems rather odd.My advice? If you have an FBA business or other eCommerce business that stocks inventory, get this book.If you have a drop ship store or other form of eCommerce business that doesn't require carrying inventory, save your money on this and get Profit First.

A lot of helpful info in a compact book! I liked the idea behind the original profit first but found it hard to apply to the special circumstances of e-commerce. No longer! Thomason brings a lot of experience to the table in bridging the knowledge gap of applying profit first to Ecommerce sellers.The examples she provided were really helpful and even though I don't come from an accounting background she did a good job breaking down some principles so I could understand. I really liked how she had the common lingo down for ecommerce sellers.The resources she mentions in the book were really helpful although the video tutorial she mentioned several times in the book is still not up on the website as of 1.25.19. Hopefully that will be up soon because it will make the extremely important initial assessment calculation much easier.

This is exactly what I have been looking for. We implemented the Profit First system after learning about it a year ago. However, as an Amazon seller with inventory management nightmares, it has been a challenge to get Profit First to fit right. This book has dispelled many concerns I ran into the first time, making it feel not so alone in the process and realize Profit First is a great method to the Amazon madness.Favorite chapter so far is Ch 3, Stop The Inventory Insanity. This is everything we discovered wrong with the Amazon business model but did not know what to do about it. Many coaches and mastermind groups encourage you to put things on credit and maximize inventory to grow, with little to no knowledge of your accounts (or worse a false view of your accounts). So instead of spending more on a mentor or shiny new software get this book instead. Yes, a little sweat will be involved but you worked hard to get this far already, you might as well do a little more to make a big difference and peace of mind... oh and more PROFIT.True, this may not be for dropshippers but I think there is already so much great info for that audience. Many accountant professionals steer clear from Amazon clients accounting since it is a beast. Cyndi tackles it head on, and her company Bookskeep is open for questions to help you in the process. The sections I've read of the book so far are well written and easy to follow, and typically have good examples.But there were a couple areas I was dissapointed in: 1: The authors should have given a bit more advice on which classes are now preferred, which classes programmers really use, etc. Examples: In the Collections Framework section, I would have appreciated more advice about how to decide which is the best collection class to use, some guidelines or something; Java 2 has LOTS of collection implementations to choose from. The same is true for the java.io section; which file/io routines to programmers really use. How important is buffered IO in the real world? Is it worth the extra steps to code, etc. 2: The examples were generally good, though there are some changes. First of all, examples were repeated frequently with a few lines changed. It would be nice to see those specific new lines highlighted in some way. Also, in some cases, I would have liked an additional, new example vs. just repeating and modifying the previous example. But the examples weren't bad, certainly on a par with other books. I still would recommend the book, but not as a sole reference or tutorial.

I found this book very useful for learning Java (I am using it while I also read "Thinking in Java"). I am a beginning programmer, knowing a little html and vbscript so I don't have a background of C++ or C under my belt. This book takes you step by step and explains concepts that you build on to understand object oriented programming, classes, methods and so on. If you know C++, you won't have a problem at all. The examples are perfect if you are patient enough to type them in. I didn't find the downloadable .lst code very helpful, but the examples are correct in this book.

"Complete Reference" is definitely a perfect name for this book. It is complete and I find myself using this book often. It is also well written and easy to follow.

I looked at copies of my final possible choices in a local bookstore and finally purchased Herbert Schildt's "Java 2: A Beginner's Guide, Second Edition" and have absolutely no regrets. Along with this book, I realized that I would also need a more comprehensive reference book detailing the multitude of Java classes designed for many purposes. To this end, I chose Herbert Schildt's "Java 2: The Complete Reference, Fifth Edition" not only for its extensive library, but also because of Herbert Schildt's wonderful writing that is easy to read and understand quickly.Herbert Schildt subdivided "Java 2: The Complete Reference, Fifth Edition" into four parts: tutorial, library, software development and applications. Part I (the first 346 pages) is a Java tutorial, organized similarly to Herbert Schildt's other book that I purchased, "Java 2: A Beginner's Guide, Second Edition". However, the tutorial in this book is more condensed than in the guide, which has over 500 pages. Some readers may find the condensed approach in this book sufficient to learn the language, but if you want more comprehensive tutorial explanations, the guide is good companion.Part II (the next 539 pages) is an extensive library detailing most of Java's built-in classes dealing with everything from string handling, collections, utility classes, console I/O, file I/O, networking, applets, event handling (mouse movements, button use, and other interactive GUI objects), the AWT (Abstract Window Toolkit), images and other I/O types including Regular Expressions. Part III (the next 128 pages) provides some information about Java Beans, Swing, Servlets and a helpful guide for migrating from C++ to Java. Part IV (the next 123 pages) shows Java in action with four example applications.Overall, I rate Herbert Schildt's "Java 2: The Complete Reference, Fifth Edition" with 5 out of 5 stars. It has become a constant companion as I learn and work with Java.

I have always enjoyed Osborne's "Complete Reference" series, and this book is no exception. Designed as both a learning aid and a reference book, I found that material was both easy to lookup and the text was engaging enough to read through.The book starts out with an overview of Java, including a discussion of OOP. If you're an experienced OO Programmer, you'll probably be a bit bored. Really the first 6 chapters cover all the basics of creating a Java program (including data types, operators, classes, and control statements). After this initial discussion, the book gets a bit more complicated by diving into inheritance, threads, and I/O.What I really enjoyed about this book is the rest of it: after this discussion on Java language principles, the rest of the book is a how-to on the various Java libraries. For example, in the chapter on the java.util library, there is a section on the HashSet class. There is a description of the class (including various overloaded constructors) and a good example of how to use it. Think O'Reilly's Java In A Nutshell but with a lot more instruction and examples.Another thing I really enjoyed about the reference section of this book, is that "gotchas" are clearly outlined. Where there are tricky little things you wouldn't think about, or differences in how Java behaves depending on what your might expect, this book explains these issues. In any case, the reference section covers the java.lang, java.util, java.io libraries in addition to providing detailed discussion of using networking and AWT libraries.

This was such a good series! I loved every bit of it! My only complaint is that we didn't get to see what happen to Javier! He still out there on the loose even though everyone who was working with him died. But I can't wait to read about Meek and Toya! Congratulations.l, for a great series! Keep the books coming!

This is my 1st read by this author and I read books 1-3 back to back. There were so many good reviews that I had to give it chance. I was thoroughly engaged from 1 book to the next. Ma Lai was hilarious. I laughed out loud at her antics constantly. I love Ari and Zelan’s relationship the most. They way they fell in love and held each other down was everything. Ci and Juelz had a dope relationship too but I felt like he really didn’t deserve her after he played her to the side for Kenya. I needed him to choose her because he wanted her above Kenya not because he got played. Although he said he realized his mistake who knows how things would’ve gone if Kenya wasn’t so foul. It took me awhile to get use to the writing style and the recaps at the beginning of each chapter but once I did it flowed well.

I enjoyed the love shown throughout the book within the families and the couples. Their Grandmother definetly was comic relief. I actually feel like there could have been a little more detail throughout the book as far as family history, especially with the girl's mother and the guys' dad. I also don't understand why Julez and Zelan didn't change their last name. I know if I found out someone that was not my father tried to kill me I would not keep their name. All and all I enjoyed this series. K.Renee I look forward to what you have in store for Meek and Toya, Hopefully we get to catch up with everybody else as well.

I'm so glad that you Juelz and Zelan didn't get injured in the shootout against Javier and I love that they found and linked up with Papa Santiago because he was the man. I love how Zelan proposed and took charge with planning him and Ari's wedding and honeymoon. Juelz love for Ciera was so sweet especially the way he proposed to her. I'm glad that Kari was biologically Juelz daughter. It's funny how Papa Santiago hooked up with Ma Laila and they're getting married too. I can't wait to see what happens next with Meek and Toya.

Great ending to a great series. Held my attention from beginning to end and I couldn't put it down....a page-turner. Still enjoyed the storyline and these characters. So glad that after everything that everyone endured, they all got their happy ending. Ma Lai, was still as hilarious as ever and I loved her character. So glad she found love with Papa Santiago and hopefully, we'll hear more from her in the future. Looking forward to Meek and Toya story. Job well done K. Renee.

As Postman notes: In the Victorian Era (mid-late 1800s), novelist Charles Dickens had as much fame as The Beatles in 1960, Michael Jackson in 1980, or Brad Pitt in 2014. The farm boy in the late 1700s carried a pamphlet of Thomas Paine's writings in his back pocket. Today, school-children carry iphones with pictures of Eminem (boy) or Taylor Swift (girl). In the mid-1800s, Abraham Lincoln and Stephan A. Douglas debated in public FOR HOURS on the dire issues of their time. Today, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney have bite-sized debates where one side speaks for 1 minute and the other side gets a 30-second rebuttal..Clearly, the people then were different from the people now in terms of mainstream intelligence. A truer Title has never been written. Published in 1985, Mr. Postman predicted with depressing accuracy the declining intellectual arc of the United States. While it leans towards pedantry on occasion (I do too often), he exposes the dangers in our insatiable demand for gratification, the faster the better. He could have written this book tomorrow, and now I'm even more depressed.

The title of this book is appealing, especially for the dissidents or mavericks who would be contended to find views in this book that rebel against the contemporary societal norms. All that this book does is present an aha moment, something on the lines of ‘I knew it!’ Otherwise, any serious explorer of this topic should start with 1984 by George Orwell or Brave New World by Aldous Huxley instead of picking up this text.Finally, this book builds its arguments on examples with a little reference to research. It presents opinions derived from observation; observation of elections, religion, advertisement, schools and news. While a large portion of population may actually be affected by these examples, this book fails to talk about the valuable side of mass media. At best it presents half the picture, the picture that’s dark. Not to say that it’s wrong, a reader should exert caution and exhibit judgement in jumping to conclusions.

I bought this based on the positive reviews and I don’t understand what people are talking about. This coloring book is sub par and looks bootleg to me. It looks like the pages were printed on someone’s home printer and the images are inconsistent in line thickness and ink saturation. Would feel bad to give this as a Christmas gift so I’m returning. Do yourself a favor and just go to Michaels to pick up an authentic quality version that won’t make you look like a cheap ass.

This is a horrible book and 85% of pics are on pint rest.I swear out of the close to 20 something coloring books I've purchased from Amazon, this is the worst one. Looks like it was made in this person's basement and you would think they would atleast get pics that are not on pintrest. Or better yet STOP SCAMMING PEOPLE

Husband loved it as a Christmas gift! Some of the pictures are harder to color because you are not sure of what exactly is in the background. Overall would buy again!

It's not often that I buy books like this, but I will say that this is a very good purchase on my part. What I like the most about this book is that it's very informative. You can tell that the author did his homework on the leopard gecko and is the first that I've seen that actually drives the point home that captive bred doesn't mean healthy.If you're looking for a book that also has information on the African Fat Tails, no problem. It's in the same exact book in just as much detail as the sections about the leos. Overall, I give it a 5 star rating.

This book is so detailed and told me everything I needed to know. It was a little scientific and sometimes hard to understand, so if you're looking for something simple and short this is not your book. But it will be my reference for years to come as I buy my first gecko this year. I am especially excited about the prospect of breeding and all the detailed information on how to do so. Great book.

I'm buying a leopard gecko in a few months :), so I've been looking for info on the net.After reading some articles, I purchased this book.It has some nice pictures and basically everything you need to know, but it's too basic.I expected to find more about feeding, genetics...insted I just find a little information about what to feed and some gecko morphs pictures. It shows the existing morphs but doesn't say what gecko morphs you need to breed in order produce a determinated morph.Good to start, though. Now I'm buying the Herpetoculture of Leopard gecko, hope I find more info there.

If you're looking for a how to care for manual for you leopard gecko, I would not recommend this book. The bulk of this book is about breeding geckos. So, if breeding geckos is what you're doing then this book is probably for you, but other than that most of the other facts in this book can be found from browsing gecko sites on the internet. This book didn't tell me anything than what I had already read online.

Wasn't as indepth as it was portrayed. Information was very basic. I had already learned much more from Utube and internet for free.

A decent read on caring for leos, but if you want to learn more about the background on these guys then look to the internet for further research.
